[Happy Birthday]

YQ turns 22 on Sunday (same day as Wrestlemania 22!), and we had a little celebration for him today. I actually left a project discussion early in order to join in the festivities. Felt a little bit bad about it...My project-mates were cool about it though.

We ate something at this cafe-sort-of-establishment before heading to n.y.d.c. for dessert. We had intended to cut the cake at n.y.d.c., but they were very strict about their no-outside-food policy, even though we all ordered (or shared) desserts. Speaking to the branch manager didn't help, because they had cameras around. The best they could do was to allow us to cut the cake, but no eating. [insert what-the-fuck look here]

We had to move the cake-cutting ceremony across the road to the new hawker centre. It was drizzling, and luckily the table/seats near the road were free. It was out-of-the-way, so no one from the hawker centre could see us. But then again, we sang happy birthday so loudly that everyone within line-of-sight looked at us.

Here's the cake. Picture taken with my mobile phone in low-light conditions, so as usual, they suck. I actually told myself to bring my digital camera last night before falling asleep, but forgot all about it in the morning after I got the "dead hamster" message (that's another story).

The birthday boy, cutting and distributing the cake.

The people who were present.

That's Subby in the middle in the above picture. Just to clarify, the guy on the right (LY) does not look like that at all. It was a pretty bad photo of him. Partly my fault as I asked him to lean in cause I couldn't see him in the frame. He leaned in awkwardly and ended up looking kinda weird.

The birthday boy, acting all surprised with his present. I say "acted" because we asked him to be surprised again so that we could snap the pictures.

If you're a regular reader, you'd know that I belong to the "lost child" category of students in school. Don't get me wrong, I know a ton of people (most of them are graduating this semester though...*sniff*). But I haven't got a regular group of friends to hang with because I was part of the group of 10 students who matriculated during the "off season".

So ironically, the closest group of friends I've got are the people from my orientation group last year when I was their OGL. Closest is a relative term here, because I'm really not *that* close with them anyway, seeing as how I'm not taking any similar modules with them. I'm closer with 2 of the guys, we chat a lot on MSN. One of them (Subby/Subsanity <---I think I should let everyone know that 'Subby' is short for Subsanity, lest they get the wrong idea) said that the best friendships were those that were not formed out of convenience, but that there's something other than work or school that brings you together. Pretty deep stuff coming from a guy who's always got something funny to say.

Still, there's plenty going on with them that I'm not in on. That's just the way it is...Since we don't see each other much in school. Learnt some interesting tidbits (I actually spelt "titbits" at first...Haha!) today. I was pretty amazed at some of the latest going-ons. Never expected there to be so much drama concerning a particular person. I used to have an indirect source regarding said person, but that source had dried up a while back. To ease the pain, I'm trying not to "re-establish" the source. If it doesn't make any sense to you, don't worry, it's not supposed to.

So...Where are we all headed?

June's going to be an exciting time. My first in-camp training, then FOC. It'd be interesting to see how things play out. If anything, I think more players could be added to the game (winks at YQ & Subby...and no, not the "brokeback" way).

[Incoming!]

Guess what I saw on the school field today?

Helicopter on the school field.
I thought they were doing some construction work at first, because it sounded like a jackhammer. As it turns out, a helicopter landed on the school field. The pictures look like crap, because I took them with my mobile phone.

Close-up shot of the helicopter.
Here's a close-up. Quality's even worse, eh? Anyway it was a small chopper. Way smaller than the Super Puma. The last time I saw a helicopter on a field was way back in 2002. It was during my basic military training, and someone had to be rushed to the hospital. When the helicopter was landing, I thought it was a surprise visit from some high-ranking officer. Boy, was I off the mark for that.

Saw this on my friend's table during my lecture. She's taking a course on cosmetics and perfumes. I know there are some out-of-the-ordinary modules in NUS (including one where they watch porn as part of their course material), but a module on cosmetics and perfumes really blew my mind. Even more than that "legal porn" module.

[Backdoor lover...]

As all locals know, our mailboxes can be opened in 2 ways. One way is for the mail carrier, they open a master lock which allows them access to all the mailboxes, and they deliver the mail into the pigeon-holes, much like the picture below. For us, we open a smaller lock which only allows access to our own mailbox. Usually the mail carrier does it from the back of the mailboxes, while we open from the front. There are some exceptions where both are located on the same side (like mine), but that's not important.

Each individual mailbox also has it's own "spam" setting. Owners can set whether or not to allow the small latch to be opened. If it's allowed to open, you'll receive leaflets and advertisements in your mail. Personally, I hate them. I always shut the latch when I open my mailbox, and my Mum would open it when she picks up our mail. Her rationale is that if our mail ever get delivered wrongly, our neighbours could slot it into our mailbox.

That's besides the point. The point is, the current system was introduced so that owners could choose whether or not they wished they receive "spam". So only the mail-carrier could open the master lock; owners could open only their mailboxes; and the spam-delivery folks could only spam the mailboxes which allowed spam.

Caught in the act.
Guess what I saw today? A spam-delivery guy actually had the master-key! He unlocked the master lock at the back of the mailboxes, and proceeded to stuff each and every mailbox with a leaflet from one of those real-estate agencies. The owners who locked their latch must be wondering tonight how the hell did the leaflet get in. I wonder how this guy got the master key in the first place.

[Love Yourself, Ok?]

My sister's working at a childcare centre while waiting to be accepted into University. This is the first time she's really had a job, so it was a good experience for her. After studying for 12 straight years, she never understood why folks always said that studying was more enjoyable than working, until now.

Today, she came back with a creepy tale. The childcare centre she's working at caters to children aged 7 to 12, with a few 13-year olds. I guess maybe it's not so much a "childcare" centre, but more of a before/after school "hotel" for the kids until their parents come home from work. It seems that one of the other teachers who quited recently had an interesting reputation.

She's supposed to be rather slutty, who loves to wear mid-riff baring tops even though everyone who saw her mid-riff ran away screaming in pain due to their bleeding eyes. She only stopped when the principal told her to. She also told someone that she had intimate relations with a 12-year old. I can't imagine listening to someone like that talk about their "sexual conquests", my ears would probably bleed too. Hell...Throw in the 12-year old boy and a bit of my brains would probably come out of my ears as well.

The day she left, she gave a boy she liked a backpack, and a kiss. Given her reputation, this was a cause of concern for the management at the childcare centre. So my sister and her colleagues had to give their classes an impromptu lesson about sex education (their parents are SO punked).
Sister: (doing her best impression of an old, naggy woman) So I told my class today, that even if no one loved them, they must love themselves. (sounds kinda off, we probably had to be there to understand)
Me: (pause) Erm....So you taught your students to love themselves? (if you don't get it, you never will)
Sister: Ok, it just sounds wrong when you say it.
On another topic, does this happen to anyone else? Look at the screen capture of Blogger.com when I logged in. I figured I didn't get one of their CSS files or something. Happens once in a while, usually at night when the Internet traffic is peaked.

[Endless work...]

I know I say this every semester, but this has got to be my toughest semester thus far in NUS. I guess I should be thankful that "tough" here means that the workload is high, and not that I don't understand the material taught. Actually, I don't understand some of the material taught...But it's still not a cause for concern...Yet.

Both my parents have, on different occasions, entered my room and asked me if I was in the middle of my exam period. The answer has always been no, and I always asked what gave them the idea. They always said it's because I seem to be working harder lately. Let me clarify that it's not by will. It's because most of my tutorials has to be submitted online this semester.

I have 3 projects to complete this weekend, on top of my usual schedule of tutorials. And as luck would have it, this was the weekend we decided to get a laptop. We had to get one, because with my sister starting University in August, we need another computer in the house. We ordered a Dell 630m online because it was a good deal, and it was delivered yesterday. I spent most of last night and this morning and afternoon formatting the machine and installing what we needed/wanted on it. Hats off to the folks at Dell...I don't know what they installed, whatever it was, it prevented us from surfing to our ISP's website. Must be some spyware blocker or something being overly cautious.

And, try as I did, I couldn't get file sharing to work between our machines. Damn it. I wasted 3 DVDs transferring my sister's files over to the laptop. I'm going to get some DVD-RWs the next time I go to Sim Lim.

Ok, that's enough for today. I need to do as much work as I possibly could before 11pm. Manchester United versus WBA!

[A bad day...]

The day's not even halfway through, but it's already so bad I wish it was over.

I woke up today with a runny nose. It's actually due to my air-con. Long story...Let's just say it could have been prevented, if only someone else at home remembered what they were supposed to do.

Turned on my aquarium lights to feed my fishes, and I saw 3 dead fishes. 1 rummy-nose tetra and 2 gold tetras. I don't think the gold tetras are going to survive in my tank. They're not schooling together, and the rummy-nose tetras are spooking them.

Wore my new contact lens today. They're...Not as comfortable as I had hoped. Right now, they actually feel the same as my old lens.

Missed my regular bus to school this morning. Got to my lecture late. Friends next to me kept talking throughout, irritating the hell out of me. I had the strongest urge to walk out, go home, and sleep till tomorrow at this point. I have another lecture and a project discussion later, damn them to hell.

To summarise:
Runny nose + Uncomfortable lens = 1 pissed-off Locksley.
Can't wait for this day to end.

[New fishes!!!]

Subby and I went for our FOCC interview today. We were supposed to go last Friday, but we couldn't make it. As it turns out, the interview was cancelled but the message was not relayed to us in time. Good thing we had the good sense to call the interviewer after waiting for 10 minutes. Anyway, we were "in" and didn't have to go for the interview. Not surprising since the signup rate this year seems pretty bad (compared to last year), judging from the addresses in the To: field of the email they sent us.

Since it was after 6pm and impossible for me to get on my usual bus (it never stops at the NUS bus-stop as it's always fully packed after 6pm), I did my usual routine of going to Clementi to take another bus. Subby went out of his way to accompany me, and before heading for home, we went to the LFS (local fish shop) in Clementi.

I've been planning to buy some rummy nose tetras to add to my fish tank. What normally happens when I go to the LFS is that I normally end up buying more than what I planned to. Today was no different....

While picking out the rummy nose tetras, I saw some gold tetras in the same tank. So I decided to get some as well, since it wasn't often that you see gold tetras in LFSs. Neon and cardinal tetras are the staple...The other tetras are sort of on a "you'll-be-lucky-to-see-them-basis". In the process of catching the fishes I wanted, I got 2 albino tetras as well. Not too sure what breed the albinos originally were, but I'm pretty sure they're not neons, since I already have an albino neon tetra and the 2 new ones look nothing like it (without the half red stripe and blue line). I picked out 8 rummies, 7 golds, and 2 albinos. Here's the kicker: I didn't know how much each fish cost.

As I headed to pay for them, I remembered that I wanted to get some shrimps to see if they'd eat up the algae on my driftwood. They were selling them in packs of 20, costing $4 (or so I thought) each. I decided to get a pack of them.

When I went to pay, I was shocked at the final amount. Ok...So selecting fishes blindly without knowing how much each cost was a bad idea. And to top it off, I misread the price of the shrimps. They cost $14. The "1" was faded due to being floated in the tank.

Here's how my tank looks like now. The picture's not too good. It's taken with my cellphone. The digital camera was with my sister and she's turned in for the night, and I didn't want to disturb her sleep just so I could take a nicer picture. The little bit of grass on the left was from the pack of shrimps. Buy shrimp, get free water plant. Hahaha!

I now have 3 ottos, 6 corys, 31 neon + cardinals (impossible to count them separately since they school together), 8 rummies, 7 gold tetras, 3 albino tetras, 19 red cherry shrimps (one jumped out as I was scooping it out and I couldn't find it on the floor anywhere...maybe it bounced off me and back into the tank?) and several guppies (I never count my guppies...I recognise them by their colour).

Enough about the fishes. I saw a very old convertible today. I'm no car expert, but even I could tell this car was old. Look at the squarish lines. Had a very '70s feel to it. It's a Golf GTI. Hard to imagine a Golf GTI ever looking like this.

[How's that again?]

A friend of mine came over earlier today (yesterday, to be exact). He was my platoon-mate when I was in the Army, and needed my help with his computer. Most of the time when someone I knew from my days in the Army calls on me (in person or on the phone), it's usually because they need me to do something for them. Don't you just love fair-weathered friends?

The people I was around during my Army days were...different. Most of them did not do well in school. That doesn't mean they were slow or anything (some of them were really smart, but just couldn't apply themselves in school). Okay, some of them were kinda slow, but that's another story.

Seeing my friend today reminded me of the time I spent in the Army, and certain conversations came to mind. I'll reproduce some of them here (some local slang may not be understood by our international readers):

One of our platoon-mates had to go home during the day because his grandmother passed away. This conversation happened in the evening, when we were about to go for dinner.

Guy A: Where's [name of the guy who lost his grandmother]?
Guy B: He booked-out. His grandma passed away.
Guy A: (shocked/concerned look on his face) What? Suddenly ah?
Me: (shocked look on my face, though for a totally different reason) No, they planned out her death weeks in advance.

This took place in Australia. We were lying down in a jungle clearing during the day. We didn't have much to do, the vehicles were in a live-firing exercise and we were not involved.

It was pretty hot, and someone tied a groundsheet in a half-assed manner over our spot. The wind was going to town with the groundsheet. Guy A and I were lying down, with our eyes closed.

Guy X: This is a good idea, but it's bad, so it must be a good idea.

Both Guy A and I heard it, and had to sit up because we both rocked with laughter. What X meant was, typing the groundsheet above us was a good idea, but it's not properly done, so he's going to do a better job. The only reason we understood what he said was because we've been around him long enough.

This happened back in Singapore. We had a bad night in our barracks, with mosquitoes having a great meal during the night.

Guy X: Wah lau. Last night a lot of ants. Keep biting me. Flying around my ears also.

Okay, not so funny. It was hilarious in Mandarin when he said it.

This one is about Guy X again. Yes, Guy X is the same guy. The guys were playing a card game. He joined midway, and asked the most profound question of all...

Guy X: Aye....What you'all playing? Winner in or loser out?
It's really too bad Guy X and I travel in different circles now. If I stayed around him long enough, I'm sure I'd have enough material to write a book.

Okay, that's it for me. I'm turning in. My back's a bit better, but I have a splitting headache as I type this. Why am I always in pain? Physical pain, emotional pain, etc....I'm always suffering from one of them.

[Disturbing thoughts...]

This is an extension of my previous post.

I seldom take the MRT (our version of the subway, the London underground, what have you). Mainly because the place I stay does not have a station, and I can get to everywhere I need to on buses (my area is exceptionally well-served by different bus routes, compared to the rest of Singapore).

So yesterday I was on the MRT, heading to town from NUS to buy my router. It was about 5-6pm. The stations downtown were packed with people. So was the train. That's when a thought entered my mind.

What if a bomb went off?

I'll be perfectly honest. If a bomb went off during rush hour, we're all fucked. A lot of damage would be caused. Being blown to bits by a bomb was certainly not the way I wanted to go. If I have to go before my time, I want to go with a weapon in my hands. I'd rather go down fighting than go down hiding (but that's another story).

I'd have to say, I was glad to be out of the train and the underground station when I reached my stop.

[Dazed and confused...]

The state of my mind is pretty confused right now, because I have a lot of things going on. I'm the kind of guy who needs some structure in his life, and having too many things going on at the same time stresses me out, gives me insomnia, and I can't concentrate on school. This post will probably show you just how confused my mind is right now.

As mentioned in an earlier post, I canceled my cable connection. I've been using it since my polytechnic days. I still remember the day I got it...I installed the Ethernet card into my motherboard, and it couldn't be detected properly. I tried every single free PCI slot I had, same problem. In the end, I removed my sound card and installed my Ethernet card in that slot. Worked without a hitch. I came to the conclusion that all my free PCI slots must have some rusted contact points or something. So in order to get my cable connection going, I had to spring for a new motherboard, processor, and memory. Ouch...

My connection was killed by my cable company on Tuesday night. So I spent Wednesday without any Internet connection at home. I can't remember the last time I did not have Internet connection at home. My ADSL provider sent over the free ADSL modem on Wednesday night, so I spent the night installing it. I was actually doing it blind, since my ADSL was only going to be activated on Thursday. I did the best I could, then went to bed.

When I woke up on Thursday morning, I was surprised to see that my ADSL has been activated. It was supposed to be activated after 5pm. Anyway, I tried downloading files off the ISP's FTP server. I managed to hit the promised speed of 3.5Mbps (~430kBytes/sec). My P2P also maxed out my bandwidth too, which was great (although right now it sucks, probably because it's the peak hour for Internet traffic now).

Prolink Hurricane 9000C
This is the modem they have me for free. Lowered my switching cost. I've had no experience with ADSL before, so everything about it was new for me. The ADSL modem functioned a tad differently from what I expected...It stored the ADSL account username and password inside the modem, kept the IP from the ISP for itself, and leased my desktop an internal IP. Weird.

I did not get a laptop when I went to NUS. Most people in my faculty have one. I didn't get one because I was exempted most of the programming modules, and I didn't really wanted to drag a laptop around. But my sister is joining me in NUS next academic year, and having only one desktop at home wouldn't do. We're about to place an order for a Dell laptop (offer ends Sunday), so I bought a wireless router today so that the laptop could have Internet access as well.

Linksys WRT54G Broadband Router
Bought the Linksys WRT54G. It's a popular model over here. Set up was easy, got it running in no time.

Broken EZ-Link Card Scanner
On my way home, the bus I took had a busted card scanner. Yeah, it's broken up, but it still works. Takes a licking and keeps on ticking.

And my back pain is back. I've been having on and off back pain ever since I finished my stint in the Army. The time spent in Army (especially towards the end) really killed my back. Now whenever I have some form of physical exertion, my back aches. The pain also comes when I'm stressed. I don't have money to see a specialist right now. After I graduate and start work, seeing a back specialist would be one of the things high on my To-Do list.

Hope my back gets better tomorrow. Back pain blows.....

[You can't make this stuff up...]

I just had this conversation with my sister about 10 minutes ago:

Me: (Playing Xbox...)
Sister: (Using the computer, next to me. Starts laughing.)
Me: What?
Sister: Look at Bill Gates! Hahaha!
Me: (Turned my head to take a look. It's a doctored picture of someone, they removed his hair. It was not Bill Gates.) That's not Bill Gates!
Sister: Yes it is! Okay, who is it?
Me: That's Donald Trump! (It was a pretty funny picture. Trump's head with no hair.)
Sister: Oh...Okay.
Me: Do you even know who Donald Trump is?
Sister: He's that Apprentice guy right?
Me: Yes, he's that Apprentice guy. (Pauses) Do you know how he made his fortune?
Sister: (Thinks for about a second.) He made his fortune selling girls.
Me: What!?
Sister: (Laughing like girls do when a bunch of them get together, except she's alone.) Yeah! He made his fortune selling girls! Hahahahaha!
Me: So he's a pimp?
Sister: Yes, he's a pimp! Hahahahaha! (Laughs insanely again.) No wait! I know! I know how he made his money! He marries young girls!
Me: (Gives her my what-the-fuck look.) If he marries young girls all the time, he'd get poorer (due to divorce proceedings).
Sister: Yah, you see, he charges girls for getting married to him!
Me: (Thinking: This is an insane business model. But would be cool if it works. Conversation sort of dies off from here on out.)

Yup. My sister, who's a teacher at a childcare centre. Someone should warn the folks at the childcare centre.

And another thing. Who'd have thought that a movie about gay cowboys would be such a big hit? Why didn't anyone make a movie about lesbian cowgirls? I thought that would be the obvious choice. I'd pay to watch lesbian cowgirls.

[What I hate about the Internet....]

I've been on the Internet for 9 years. I cannot imagine living in a time without the Internet. Most of my sources of entertainment are from the Internet, as well as time-killers. Not to mention the wealth of information. You can find information about everything and anything.

When I first started out, the bane of the Internet was banner ads. Everybody hated banner ads. At that time, advertising was what drove the Internet. I never really had a problem with banner ads.

Next, came popups. Then came the popup blockers. Then came popunders. I don't know if there are any popunder blockers...My Google Toolbar certainly can't catch popunders. Actually the main reason I installed the Google Toolbar was to catch the popups (didn't install SP2). I'm sure in time, popunders can be caught as well.

The new evil of the Internet in my opinion are flash advertisements. Most of the time, I look for the "Close" button and close them without looking. But sometimes, the "Close" button is nowhere to be found.

Ta-dah! Soccernet's front page. Look at the damn JOGA3 flash advertisement. It covered the better part of the website, including the headlines. For the life of me, I couldn't find the "Close" button. I thought, the heck with it, I'll just read whatever news I can from the links on the right.

Fat chance! It was on the news pages as well! God damn it....

Hats off to ESPN for vandalising their own website.

[Jumping ship...]

For the last couple of days, I've been considering whether or not to switch ISPs. I've been with my current one for as long as I can remember, paying $58 per month for 2.5Mbps downstream. Recently, my P2P speeds went to hell. It's happened before in the past, but it went back to normal eventually. This time though, enough is enough...

Another ISP is having a promotion. 3.5Mbps downstream at $47 a month. I did a search and read some of the threads in the local forums, and it seems that P2P performance was a hit and miss on this ISP as well. Since I'm already problems with my P2P as it is, I can't be worse off if I made the switch. So most likely I'd be making the switch sooner rather than later.

There's also almost $0 switching cost, since the new ISP would give me a free ADSL-Ethernet modem (I'm currently using a cable modem). However, there is another risk. Many folks have problems with their ADSL connections being dropped very often, I'd hate for this to happen to me. Whether or not this problem can be rectified depends on a variety of reasons. Sometimes it get fixed, sometimes it doesn't. So I'd be taking a risk with this....Seeing how stable my cable connection is. I could be worse off in this aspect.

Time to make the call...

[Of numb-nuts and dumb-asses...]

In NUS, we don't have a "class" in the traditional sense of the word. Every tutorial class you go to, you see different people. It's because of this reason that it's common to have a ton of acquaintances and only a few close friends.

This is a story about one such acquaintance.

I worked with this guy during my first semester for a project. He was okay, did his part and everything. Only this semester did I realise he was actually a bit of an ass. He comes late for lectures, heckles the lecturer (what the hell?) and plays a fool half the time.

Grade 'A' dumbass.
He and his posse walked into the lab I was in yesterday. And the moment he sat down, he decided it would be fun to tilt the LCD monitor and work off it like that. I would expect to see something like this in a polytechnic, but not in a university. Yup, you're real cool. To top it off, he's a SAF regular. Isn't that nice to know?

Yeah, the picture sucked. I had to use 2X digital zoom on my handphone to capture this jackass. Quality of the pictures taken with my handphone isn't that great to begin with, and having to use the 2X digital zoom didn't help.

[From the highest of the high....]

...to the lowest of the low.

I was on a high after finding out that I probably did very well for my midterm on Monday. I was brought back down to Earth after today's. It's was for a different module, my worst/hardest module this semester (compared to Monday's, which was my best). And to top it off, only 70+ people are taking it. The bell curve is probably not my friend. :(

Went to Funan to buy a new printhead for my printer today. I bought my Canon iP3000 on March 5th last year, so I've been using it for almost a year now. There's been some problems with the printouts recently, and cleaning the head didn't help. From my deduction (wasn't very confident to be honest), I think the printhead needs changing.

When I got there and requested to purchase a printhead, the guy behind the counter told me there could be many reasons why the printouts are unsatisfactory, and since they couldn't refund me any money if the printhead turned out to not be the problem, I was strongly advised not to purchase the printhead, instead to bring my printer down for them to take a look at.

That would be a problem, since I use 3rd-party inks. I decided to take a chance anyway and bought the printhead. I came home, installed it, and with a rapidly-beating heart, pressed "Print"....

Phew....The printouts are fine. So yeah, it was the printhead.

Liyong: You might be interested to know that the printhead costs $56.60. Bloody cheap, compared to the printheads of all my previous models, all slightly over $100. If the printhead costs $100, it would make more sense to buy a new printer instead.

[Have you ever...]

...had a dream where your life is so good, so perfect, that you wish you'd not wake up?

Fuck. Not only did I wake up, I have a midterm later. Back to reality takes on a whole new meaning today.

[I have a problem...]

...on Wednesdays. I have a tutorial from 11-12nn, and then another one from 1-3pm. So I have one hour to kill. I hate going to the canteen at 12nn, since it's lunch hour and the place will be packed. So usually I find a lab to retreat to and surf the Internet, check my emails and check for new notes/tutorials. All that takes about 10 minutes. What am I going to do with the other 50?

I realised today that from 12nn to 1pm on Wednesdays, Channel 5 shows EPL Highlights! I spent today's break watching EPL! *WOOT* I'd rather be watching Amazing Race....But that's not gonna happen. I'll just have to catch the repeat on Thursdays.

On the school front, things look fine, although I'm a little burnt out. For my midterm on Monday, I think I scored 44 out of 45 for my first 3 sections. The last section's worth 5 points....I think maybe I got just 2 or 3. Anyway, it's pretty good considering I started studying only on Sunday afternoon. Most of the material taught in this module so far is extremely easy, I've already learnt most of it in poly. I found it amusing when some people tried to argue for their answers during class. If they had a bit more exposure, they'd know how wrong they were.

I have another midterm tomorrow, for the module I feel is the hardest this semester. May God have mercy on my soul. Taking this module was a huge mistake. I should have taken IT Marketing. I could probably close 1 eye and cruise through IT Marketing, since I've already taken Business School's Marketing. Well done.

The A level results were released today. My sister did very well. Most likely she'd be attending NUS with me. That makes it 12 years since the last time we attended the same school. She's got a ton of hot friends, and she's introduced a grand total of 0 of them to me. Time to make up for it if we attend the same school. (Sis, you better be reading this part).
