[Just Follow Law]

I rented the above movie recently. It's a somewhat old movie, made in 2006. It has its moments. Never been a fan of Fann Wong, but this movie really made me see her in a different light.

She grabbed herself a few times during the movie.

Second time. And she then proceeded to dress up like a...Words fail me.

And I wouldn't have bet on her making such faces on camera.

Guess which of these am I gonna use as my MSN display picture?

[Engrish from Korea...]

English from Japan always incite some sort of emotion in those of us who actually know English - Laughter, bewilderment, and sometimes complete confusion.

Let us not forget English from other non English-speaking countries as well. Just as Korea.

A relative visited Korea recently and brought back some seaweed. Look at the stuff written on the packaging.

What the hell is "loess salt"?

To be fair, I learnt that laver is seaweed.

But I still think it's stupid. No need to make your product more sophisticated than it really is. It's just flavoured seaweed. Get over yourselves.

[Just a sore throat...]

When I was younger, having a sore throat meant having some discomfort while swallowing. That's all. When it was over, it was over.

Now, having a sore throat is like a matter of life and death.

I would develop a cough most of the time after the sore throat goes away, and coughing up green stuff is a given. To top it off, I was extremely tired. I was so tired, I couldn't get anything done during the weekend. I mostly slept it off.

I'm getting old.

[ARAGH!!!]

Four posts ago, I wrote about how I visited E! Online and got spoiled regarding the winner of The Amazing Race. I forgot all about that and visited the site again earlier and got spoiled for Survivor.

I 0wn3d myself twice in the same reality-TV season.

Excellent.

[Crying wrestling fan...]

I saw this on Youtube...

This guy's nuts. And I've been watching wrestling since I was five years old. And no, I'm not as crazy as this guy.

[Going all out...]

I received an invitation to apply for two DBS credit cards in the mail today. It was pretty cool, they even included miniature versions of the cards, with my name on them.

Actually, I have been meaning to apply for a few credit cards. I feel that there isn't one single "best" card. The cards you should apply for depends on your lifestyle and spending habits. And every single "reward", discount, or perks that come along with credit cards have only one purpose - to make you spend more.

That said, I feel that most of the discounts offered by credit cards are shit. They are not stores that most people usually shop at. Unless the discount is at a shop where you spend money at on a regular basis, don't even consider it. Next, accumulating points and exchanging them for something. A little better, but you have to spend an insane amount of money to exchange for something of very little value so it's not very attractive neither.

So I'm going to go for cards that offer cash rebates. I've already decided on the two cards to apply for. I might apply for another one or two more, just for the heck of it. We'll see. Both the cards I'm applying for are white. Maybe something black...

[Silly ad design...]

I encountered the following ad when accessing my Windows Live! email account. Now, I know that they sell ads to dozens of advertisers and it may not be possible to thoroughly screen each and every ad, but what happened was really no excuse.

This was the ad. It's for Seagate's FreeAgent Go portable hard-disk. I can't believe that after all the grief it gave me, I'm giving it a free plug.

When I moved the mouse towards my Inbox, this happened...

The bloody ad expanded and blocked me! Unless I'm blind, there aren't any options to close the damn thing! The ad effectively locked me out of my Inbox.

The most ironic part? I actually have the damn portable hard-disk. The white one. I've already bought your product, give me my Inbox back!

[Spoiled!]

I haven't seen the finale of the Amazing Race yet. It was shown on TV this morning and being the finale, it consists of three teams racing to the finishing line.

I visited E! Online just now and got spoiled. I know who won. Aragh!

At least it's the team I support.

[Unbridled joy...]

It's these 1-0 games that win championships.

[That spinning kick!]

How many weeks will it take for Michael Cole to learn the name of Kofi Kingston's finishing move? It has a name. It's not "that spinning kick".

I would love to execute a "spinning kick" on Michael Cole's oddly-shaped head.

[Pounding headache...]

Yesterday was a long day.

I had an attack of allergic rhinitis in the morning. I haven't had an attack for a while. I've been paying special attention not to rub my face in my pillow, bolster or bed. No matter how hard anyone tries, there will always been some dust mites in these things. If I don't rub my face in them, I don't inhale any of the dust mites and I won't get an attack.

It was an especially bad episode. I took some Clarinase. It didn't work. I was on leave, but it was because I had to accompany my father for his day surgery.

I felt like crap the whole time I was in the hospital. The irony of it all - sick, in a hospital and not getting any better or treatment. We were done at about 4pm and we reached home about 15 minutes later. I immediately took half of a little yellow pill - a first generation antihistamine. One of the side effects of allergic rhinitis was exhaustion. So even though Clarinase was anti-drowsy, I was dead tired. Taking the yellow pill, a first generation antihistamine with no anti-drowsy effects (in fact, it will make you drowsy) nearly floored me.

I had an appointment in the evening and I pulled myself together to attend. By the end of the evening, I was seriously dead and running on empty. I got into bed shortly after I reached home, and was still feeling the drowsy effects when I got up in the morning. I took a nap in the afternoon and woke up with a very bad headache.

If I had three wishes, I would definitely spend one on getting "cured" from allergic rhinitis.

Most likely will spend one on getting Jessica Simpson to fall in love with me, but that's another story.
