Went to Hereen after work today to have my watch battery replaced. After that, I went to Clementi to get driftwood for my tank. On my way there, I met an old friend at the MRT station. He was my course-mate in Poly, but we didn't know each other the whole time we were there. He got posted to my coy in 40SAR as the tank PC. Anyway, he disrupted and is currently schooling at NTU. It was nice catching up.

Big football match tonight, Man United vs Arsenal at 11pm. Match should end about 1am. Can't make up my mind to watch the match and be groggy the whole day tomorrow or to sleep early and miss the match.

Had fever last night. That sucked. My PS invited us to his place for his daughter's birthday, and I was groggy the whole time.

[Unexpected discovery...]

My sister was using the computer when she spotted the corydoras in my tank locked in a "T" position. She thought that was pretty weird and told me about it. That was, in fact, how corydoras mate. Since then, I've found eggs all over the place. On the aquarium tank floor, plants, etc. I scooped up 12 of them and placed them in a makeshift "birthing" tank. They should hatch in a few days. Can't wait to see how that turns out.

Bought a new slab of grass for my aquarium yesterday. Came with lots of water snails, and I spent a good part of my time yesterday catching them. Araghh...

[Random thoughts....]

My sister dragged me swimming today. Was feeling tired and sleepy after lunch, but had promised her that I'd go with her, and she wouldn't take no for an answer.

On our way there, the bus we were in had some problem with the doors. I think the buses have this indictator of some sort that wouldn't allow it to move off if the doors were open. I'm guessing the problem with the bus was that even when the doors were closed, the sensors think that they're not. So the driver kept opening and closing them, until he finally gave up at the stop for Bukit Batok swimming complex. We had planned on going to Jurong, but changed our plans.

Went to West Mall after that. Bought a new bag. Been needing one for a while, and got one real cheap at Sports Connection. 40% off the sale price. Good deal.

On our way back, we show the complimentary ticket we got from before to the bus driver, and he didn't take it or anything. Heh heh heh....Free bus rides!!!

Ok...Here comes the random thought. Eugene stood behind me in the camp shifting parade on Thursday. How ironic...Considering that we were classmates in Poly. Never would I imagine that we would be standing under the hot sun in a camp shifting parade.

Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get.

[The day after tomorrow....]

...would be the day I collect back my pink IC. 2 more days to ORD.

I thought I'd be excited....I mean, I have been waiting for this day for a long time. But I'm not. I'm feeling strangely calm. Maybe it hasn't sunk in yet, I don't know.

Bought 5 more cardinal tetras and 2 otos yesterday. They look well. Hope the tetras don't die on me again.

[Another chapter will soon begin...]

Had the camp shifting parade yesterday. We had rehearsals from Monday till Wednesday, and I was dead beat. It was cool at the end, as the armoured vehicles actually traveled on the public roads to our new camp. Lots of curious onlookers.

Brought all my stuff back from camp yesterday evening. I'll be going back on Tuesday to collect my pink IC.....And shout at the top of my lungs...

[Where it all began...Again...]

9 more days to pink IC....

Going back to camp tonight. The coming week's going to be a hectic one, with everyone back preparing for the camp shifting parade. To the best of my knowledge, the actual parade will begin the old camp at night. We'll do some drills, mount up on the vehicles, and convoy to our new camp. Sounds pretty cool. It's going to be one of the few times we have armoured vehicles on the public roads. Things might change, but as of now, that's what we're going to do.

Went to C328 yesterday. Bought another breeding tank. In my haste, I bought the *internal* version, instead of the external. I also got a digital thermometer, 5 neon and 5 cardinal tetras. I'm also giving the freeze-dried tubifex worms a try.
