[Paying attention to details...]
I took a Marketing module last semester. One of the examples we looked at was how Coca Cola managed it's marketing campaigns and how they sold their products. It was mentioned in the textbook/notes that their first diet coke was actually called Tab Cola. It was used as an example of a product which has reached maturity and no new marketing/advertising campaigns were created for it. However, Coca Cola still manufactures it because there is small, loyal following for Tab Cola.
I've never seen a can of Tab Cola in my life. I remember when Diet Coke was introduced in Singapore. It was a long time ago, and there was a pretty massive advertising campaign to introduce people to the product. Hence, I always thought Diet Coke was the first "diet" cola.
I was watching an old episode of That 70s Show earlier and I spotted them using Tab Cola in one of their scenes! Talk about paying attention to small details (the producers, not me).
Pretty cool when something you learn in school allows you to appreciate something outside of it. Just like that episode of Veronica Mars I talked about a while back.
