[Withholding information...]
I've been debating with myself for a long time as to whether or not to write about this. I've finally decided that I should.
I was previously on SingNet's ADSL plan. The plan came with free mobile broadband and I get 30GB of data on it every month. It comes with a dongle and is meant for normal computers. We seldom use this, only once in a while when the ADSL's down or when I need to go out with my laptop and need to have Internet access.
When I switched over to fibre recently, I assumed that the mobile broadband, being free together with the ADSL plan, would be cancelled upon the cessation of the ADSL plan. That didn't happen. It changed from a free perk to a chargeable service. This was not communicated to us. Furthermore, the data bundle dropped from 30GB to 10GB. And because the ADSL plan is gone, the mobile broadband was converted to a standalone plan. Without contract, but it cannot be terminated for three months.
All this was not communicated to us. We were served by a new (FT) CSO, but it's no excuse. I am now stuck paying three months for a service I don't use.
Somehow, I feel a bit cheated.
