[Who fookin' cares?]

We have a radio in the kitchen and it's always tuned to Capital 95.8fm. For those who don't know, this is the official auntie/uncle radio station of Singapore. The songs they play...I remember hearing when I was a little kid. And the topics they discuss are so WTF I don't know how anyone can listen to it.

For the past few mornings, they would give updates on the traffic in a very "focused" segment which I thought was dumb. They would say that traffic on road X was heavy heading towards location Y. If the traffic is heavy on one weekday, it would be heavy every weekday. So, why bother?

The silliest thing they did was to report that traffic on the Causeway coming into Singapore is heavy. Seriously, who cares?

First of all, that's expected. Happens every morning. You might as well report that the sun will rise this morning. From the east. Secondly, we are already in Singapore, so who freakin' cares?

I switched cubicles today. I'm not happy. I won't go into the reasons why because it's too complicated, but on the whole, I don't like my new cubicle. I'm kinda pissed too, because I shouldn't have been the one who had to move.

Sure, it's bigger, air-con doesn't get insanely cold from 11am to 12nn, and I no longer have to listen to this sweet-yet-annoying voice of one of my colleagues...But it has its downsides.

I no longer get to listen in on colleagues' phone conversations or when they talk to each other. Believe me, you can learn a lot by listening. Less rapport with everyone. And I actually share my cubicle with someone. She takes up only 25% of the space and we don't really over-lap or anything, but it's still annoying because she can see what I'm doing while I can't see her (she's sitting behind me). I am also no longer in view of the coming-in-going-off junction, so I can't spy on people's movements.

I've fallen asleep in my old cubicle twice. I wonder what would happen if it happens in my new cubicle.

Have a short nap of 15-30 mins almost daily.. Like me... Behind closed doors... :P
Ya, some cubes can b rather irritating...
The only "closed doors" for me would be the cubicle in the toilet. Not everyone like you wor...Can sleep on the job. :P
Haha.. Then go nap in the toilet if there's really a need to. I guess the smell doesn't bother u. :P

When you free? Let's meet for a meal.
Actually, the toilets are very clean. Very little people at my office and the toilet is almost like a private toilet, of sorts.

Maybe sometime next week? My calendar is open right now. Discuss offline.
