[Boo!]
[This is really part 2 of the whole youtube.com copyright issue. For the 1st part, check out what I wrote 2 posts ago.]
I checked my youtube.com account earlier, and all but 2 of the wrestling videos I uploaded have been "rejected". I guess it was bound to happen. Those videos were popular, got about 100 hits each every day, and were linked to by a ton of other sites. Not wanting any further trouble, I deleted them all.
Too bad. I think lots of people enjoyed those videos. They were quite heavily bookmarked and received quite a fair bit of comments.
I'm not sure how the copyright process works on youtube.com, so I don't know if it was indeed someone from WWE who saw them and requested their removal or just some random guy who decided to "flag" the videos. Either way, I think it's dumb. In a way, this is free publicity for WWE, and most of the stuff I put up was pretty old. How would they eat into their current profit margin, I'd never know.
Whatever.
