[It has began...]

Came home after school today to find my guppy in the middle of giving birth. As can be seen above, most of them didn't make it. Some of them haven't even "hatched" yet, and were still in "egg" form. You could see their eyes though.

These are some that survived. One of them's actually a pair of conjoined twins. That's the one next to the circular thingy....It's actually 2 guppies, fused together at the belly. I've had such fries before in the past, they couldn't survive because they can't swim to "catch" the food in their mouths. When they swim, they look like an airplane in trouble at an airshow...Spinning like crazy, out of control.

Here's the same guppy...Notice the belly? Much smaller now. She's still not done though. If you see carefully, you can spot a cluster of fries in her belly. The greyish part is actually the fry's eyes.

And yes, I know the photos suck. I actually took them with my Nikon 5600, not my handphone. It's not easy taking fish photos. They would look a lot better if it was daylight, because the table lamp on my er...table...is totally screwing up the Nikon's macro focusing. I couldn't take the photo without the table lamp on because there's not enough light for the Nikon to focus to begin with.

So the moral of thy story:
  1. My guppy is giving birth. Right now.
  2. Taking fish photos is hard. :(
