[World-class my ass....]

It's often been said that Singapore's got a world-class transport system. Obviously the person who coined that phrase never tried taking a bus during peak hours.

My exam today ended at 7pm++. Was kinda pissed after the paper because it was really hard. My plan was to take 96 from inside NUS to Clementi, and then change to 184. I waited for over 15 minutes for 96, and when it came, it was so packed that the driver didn't bother opening the front door. So I got on A2 instead, and made my way to my usual bus-stop. Since I was at my usual stop, I figured I would wait and see if I could get on 963. Boy, was that a mistake. It took 20 minutes for the stupid bus to arrive (during which, at least 2 of every other bus service at that stop arrived), and it was so packed that the driver didn't stop. I was getting really pissed by this point, seeing how I have another paper tomorrow and really need to get home to continue my revision.

After 963 passed, I got on the next bus that came along and went to Clementi to change to 184. 184 usually arrives pretty quick, except today, it took another 20 minutes. Seriously, when you're in a rush to get somewhere, the bus never comes. It's almost 9pm when I reached home. It took me almost 2 hours to get home. Contrast this with the time it took for me to reach school today -- 25 minutes.

This is seriously fucked up. The bus companies know that the demand for buses would be high during peak hours, but they won't reduce the frequency of the buses. Whoever's in charge of planning the frequencies is going to hell.
